Call to action at Alog
45924 for help with problems with fast ALS glitches "since its so tough to diagnose, it would be good to
develop some code to find this glitching issue and report it on the ALS screen as a kind of Fault condition."
H1:LSC-REFL_A_RF9_Q_ERR_DQ show up as round 1 winner on all days in Hveto and H1:LSC-POP_A_LF_OUT_DQ shows up as a winner or a related channel. H1:LSC-REFL_A_RF9_Q_ERR_DQ always with scattering in strain or with scattering in a different channel
Harmonics on the 15th and 16th are being looked in to in the Alog posted at
46045: The harmonics can be seen in the glitchgram were related to CS accelerometers and looks to be something switching states
Friday Dec 14
Summary
- no real range to look at
- seismic and PEM channels are normal
Detchar
- Hveto - No segments avalible
- PyCBC - No segments avalible
Saturday Dec 15
Summary
-
Range is about 60-70 Mpc
-
glitchgram
-
h(t) spectrogram
-
glitch rate
SEI/Ground/BLRMS_overview
- high wind and micro-seismic
- crazy winds can be blamed for no locks 0400 to 1900
PEM - all but especially seismic and acoustic
Detchar
Hveto:
- scattering for rnd 1, non-liniar scattering rnd 2
- ringing up in PyCBC live
Round 1, Winner = H1:LSC-REFL_A_RF9_Q_ERR_DQ
-
High Frequency, low SNR
-
only LSC at input optics see this glitch
-
all but the last Omega scan look like scattered light
- interesting with high frequency and because it may cause high pyCBC trigger
-
last one looks like a whistle
Round 2, Winner = H1:LSC-POP_A_LF_OUT_DQ
-
Hits many of the high SNR triggers
-
all auxilary channel glitches are significant
-
interesting related glitched channels in PSL ASC and PEM
-
omega scans look like loud blue mountain scattering???
-
differential heating?
Round 3, Winner = H1:ASC-AS_B_DC_PIT_OUT_DQ
- hits many of the low SNR glitches in the bucket
-
Round 4, Winner = H1:ASC-Y_TR_B_PIT_OUT_DQ
- not may hits, all lower SNR
PyCBC
- one group of triggers at 2100 with a tail reaching past 14 SNR in short and medium and past 9 SNR in long, it lines up with a short drop in range
Sunday Dec 16
Summary
Lock/Sensitivity/strain
SEI/Ground/BLRMS_overview
PEM - all but especially seismic and acoustic
Detchar
Hveto
Round 1, Winner = H1:LSC-REFL_A_RF9_Q_ERR_DQ
- 2nd day it is round 1 winner
- 3/5 of the spectrograms are scattered light arches
- less significant than earlier but still have the same related channel
Round 2, Winner = H1:LSC-POP_A_LF_OUT_DQ
- few but high SNR triggers in primary channel
- related channels in ASC and PEM
Round 3, Winner = H1:ASC-AS_B_DC_PIT_OUT_DQ
- few low SNR triggers
- Omega scans include a line at 30 Hz
Monday Dec 17
Summary
- No Locks longer than 20 minutes, and almost never gets past low noise
- Glitchgram
- Glitchgram is similar to the other days
- h(t) spectrogram
- Strange Harmonics are gone, Now we have some 500Hz line coming in and out test mass SUS ringing up
- Are there any anomalies in the glitch rate for loud glitches?
SEI/Ground/BLRMS_overview
- ~5 m/s winds 0500 to 0800 and 3-10Hz seismic 1200 to 1700. Neither corrolated with h(t)
- seismic 1-3Hz 2hr period
PEM - all but especially seismic and acoustic
- Are there any significant changes, especially new features, in the PEM channels?
- All accelerometers show low frequency broad-band from 1200 to 2400 from people traffic
Detchar
Round 1, Winner = H1:LSC-REFL_A_RF9_Q_ERR_DQ
- 3rd day it is the winning channels
- more scattering arches
- less significant than earlier but still have the same related channel
- shows classical scattering and H1:LSC-POP_A_LF_OUT_DQ shows scattering
Round 2, Winner = H1:ASC-Y_TR_B_PIT_OUT_DQ
- Not many triggers but some high SNR
- related channels are in ASC, LSC and OMC
- maybe people in the LVEA
Round 3, Winner = H1:ASC-DHARD_Y_OUT_DQ
- only hits in primary are some high SNR triggers at 2230
- related channels in ASC and LSC
- all spectrograms include a 30Hz line in range
- if it happends later just check if
PyCBC - Are there any specific times which ring off templates to a high ranking statistic value? If so can you pin down what is happening? Has the rate of triggers changed appreciably?
- only one lock has enough time to run PyCBC
- Lower peak SNR than past days only reaching 8.5 SNR
